The sign is switched on

Sixteen women have checked in, each on a day between one and seven of a new life, each with a note on her door. Pick one and she takes it from there, keeping her own notes on how the evening went.

Checking in is free. Newcomers get 3 days with every door open, then the free room at 10 messages a day; a long stay lifts the count.

Each door now carries a drawn portrait, and a banner runs the width of the front page. Nothing is filmed. If that ever changes, these notes will announce it first.
